As everyone was through the gates, they automatically began to close. "She's not my real mom. I don't have a mom, never have. Her name's Martha, but Daddy told me to call her Mother." she explained, then sighed a little. "She's mortal... and a pain in the ass..." she grumbled, remembering how horrible the woman had been acting lately.

"Then why do you put up with her? Orders from your father?" Izual asked, now walking right beside his brother instead of lagging behind. Tyrael was busy looking around at the house and the front yard. The half-angel was so lost in his observations and thoughts that he'd forgotten he'd even been talking to Jen.
Izual noted his brother's behaviour and moved to instead walk by Jen, mostly because it would make it easier to talk to her. That and, if he stayed standing next to Tyrael, he'd probably get knocked over whenever Tyrael decided to trip himself up.

In seeing that Izual was now next to her, Jen blushed a little. "She's raised me ever since I can remember. I just guess I have to put up with her." she said with a shrug. "Plus, everyone thinks she's my real mom, and if she were to disappear... then people may start to wonder." she sighed and skipped up the steps to her front portch. "And if she were gone.. I would be all alone..." Her big blue eyes dulled a little at those words and she reached out for the doorknob.

"How about I give you my annoying brother as a present?" Izual said, sounding dead serious and rather morbid about it. Tyrael was still looking about, so he didn't even notice that Jen and Izual were still talking. It was rather disappointing for Izual that he didn't get a reaction from his brother, like he'd hoped, but still Jen would react. She might even accept the jestful offer, maybe then Izual could get some peace of mind...

Jen rose an eyebrow to that. "I would much rather have you instead." she laughed, then opened the door to a perfectly polished foyer. The floor was marble and there was a spiral staircase with gold painted railing. The carpet was white when entering the lounge room and everything was lit with crystal. The girl slipped out of her tennis shoes and smiled to the boys. "Remember to take off your shoes." she told them, then went to the kitchen for a moment to yell something about making extra food.

Tyrael nodded and slipped his feet right out of his sneakers, walking into the lounge room to wander about and look at things. Izual shook his head at his brother and slipped his sneakers off too, seating himself on the couch, seemingly uninterested in all the finery about him as he lay back and put his feet up on the couch.
Tyrael turned to his brother and walked over, kneeling in front of the couch and grabbing his brother's hand. It looked like a death scene from a Shakespearian play. Izual neither acknowledged his brother's presence nor touch, or pulled his hand away. He was used to his brother wanting to hold his hand. Tyrael's need for affection and security could be such a bother sometimes, but deep down Izual knew he needed his brother just as much as Tyrael needed him. They were identical polar opposites.
"Izual... Are we really staying for dinner here?" Tyrael asked timidly.
"Why not? Don't you like her?" Izual raised an eyebrow, as if reminding his twin brother that it had been him who first spoke to the girl.
"I do like her, but... her Dad sounds kinda mean..." Izual rolled his eyes at Tyrael's pout and took his hand from his brother's grasp, patting him on the head comfortingly (and condescendingly at the same time).
"You don't have to worry about that. I doubt we'll be around here long enough to ever chance meeting her father." Izual sighed and put his hand down on the couch, hiding a small smile as Tyrael lowered himself even closer to the ground and rested his head on Izual's hand.

"They're friends of Daddy's!" Jen laughed the lie as she came back from the kitchen. She went into the lounge and winked at the two boys, but then her heart seemed to melt as she saw how Tyrael looked with his brother. It was so sweet. "You can stay down here, guys or come upstairs with me. Whichever whenever." she shrugged and headed for the spiral staircase.

Tyrael looked up at Jen slowly, blinking in confusion as if he'd just snapped out of an elaborate daydream. He looked like a puppy once again and he slowly got up and followed after Jen, leaving Izual to grumble a moment about just getting comfortable. The other half-demon got up, rather grudgingly, and went to follow his brother and their hostess upstairs.
Tyrael was barely a foot behind the demon-girl, having completely forgotten all his worries from before and just wanting to be friends. Izual was a meter or so behind, not so enthusiastic about having to go upstairs. He'd rather just fly, but they might have house rules against such things. But who cares? He brought his wings out and spread them, taking off and shooting up to the top of the stairs, over Jen's and Tyrael's heads, and landed at the top waiting for them.
Tyrael watched his brother fly up the stairs instead of walking and, thinking it was a great idea and unable to resist the temptation, he spread his black feathered wings and grabbed Jen as he flew to the top of the stairs too.

Jen froze on the stairs and her eyes grew huge as she saw Izual fly up the stairs. Then she let out a small shreak as she was suddenly lifted up by Tyrael. She squirmed and tried to keep her squeals down, then wanted to kiss the ground once she was finally on two feet. She quickly tore herself away from Tyrael and stumbled, yet managed to keep her balance, breathign heavy as she looked at the two.
"Jennifer? What's with all that noise?" a woman's voice called from downstairs.
Jen looked down the stairs and managed to respond. "Nothing, Mother..." she said innocently, then looked back to the two boys. "You need to warn me before you sprout wings and pick me up..." she told them and turned on one foot, walking toward a door down the hall.

Izual smirked at Tyrael, as if his brother had just been caught stealing a cookie from the jar. Tyrael looked sufficiently scolded, his hands held behind his back and a small pout emerging his lips as he stared at the ground, drawing a small circle with one foot and mumbling an apology.
"So where were we going?" Izual asked casually as though nothing had happened. His wings were curved around him now, looking like a shining tower shield, covering almost his entire body. Tyrael's looked more like a black fur coatm apart from the fact that it was more of a feather coat.

Jen didn't look back at the boys, blushing furiously and still a little shaken. "My bedroom..." she answered then and opened a door, walking into the room. It was suited perfect for her. The bedsheets were blue and white along with the design in the wallpapering. She had many medals and flags hung up on the wall along with a lot of pictures and plaques from cheerleading and gymnastics. Her bed was queen sized and had a few stuffed animals on it, and pompoms was hanging on her wall by the bed. The closet was stuffed with her wardrobe and there was a pretty big stereo system along with a laptop sitting on her desk.
There were a few strange things, though. On one of the nightstands was a strange orb that looked like a crystal ball. There was a black trunk at the end of her bed with a very large lock on it. A few posters were hung around of teenage idols, but also a few gothic bands and heavy metal. In one corner was a guitar case and a strange aura was coming from a few places. But besides all that, it looked pretty comfy and clean, a couch set against a wall across from the television.

Tyrael immediately moved into the room while his brother simply stood at the door and inspected the room from a distance. Tyrael wandered about the room, looking at the shiny medals and the weird little flags. Then he saw the pompoms and poked them, wondering if they did anything. He looked at all the stuffed animals on Jen's bed and reached down to stroke some. He looked almost like a kid in a candy store.
When he laid eyes on the crystal ball, he gave a small, almost inaudible gasp and picked it up. You could expect him to go 'oooo!' at it, but he just blinked at it as he saw the entire room reflected back from it. Izual had only just moved into the room to get a better look when he spotted the couch and raised an eyebrow. That was a bit pretentious, wasn't it?

Jen smiled at how Tyrael was acting and went to set down her dufflebag near the cloest. He was so cute and interested in everything, just like a little kid. Then her eyes grew big and her heart stopped as he picked up the crystal ball. Her face went a little white and her throat felt dry. Slowly, as if she were trying not to scare an alleycat, she walked to Tyrael. "Tyrael..... put it down gently, please..." she told him, an apparent fear in her eyes.

Tyrael looked over his shoulder at Jen, wondering what was wrong. He slowly put it down anyway, realising that she didn't want him to touch it. He turned to her and gave her an apologetic look, not having meant to upset her or anything.
Izual shook his head in annoyance at his brother's actions. He went to sit on the couch, his legs open rather wide, purely just for comfort though. Last time Tyrael had gone around touching things he shouldn't, they were accused of shoplifting.

Jen regained the color in her face once the crystal ball was back to its rightful place. Normally, she would have grabbed it away from him, but she was afraid of breaking it... or worse... touching the thing. When she finally looked at Tyrael's face, though, she felt bad, then got an idea. "Look, Tyrael, shiny things..." she smiled, coaxing him to go over to examine all of her medals. She must have had a few dozen of them, and there were many more along with trophys down in the mural Daddy set up for her.
Then she turned to look at Izual and she felt her heart jump. With his legs spread so wide, his jeans tightened and let her imagination run wild to whether the shadows were playing tricks on her or not. If it weren't for Tyrael being there, she would be on top of the man on the couch. But then she remembered what Daddy had said and quickly turned away from him, trying not to think about anything like that. 'I only have one rule for dating my teenage daughter: If she sees his penis, I'll cut it off...' were Daddy's exact words. And he WOULD follow through with them.
